My question involves a child custody case from the State of: CA
My wife and I got divorced in April 2016. The divorce decree says that I must pay $2,500 per month ($1,000 for child# 1, $1,000 for child# 2, and $500 for alimony) for 5 years. My son just turned 18 in May 2017. Do I have to continue paying for his child support too? If the answer is no (meaning I don't have to pay for his child support), how do I go about reducing the judgement? Do we have to go to court for it or is it a simple form? Please advise.
